Office of the Law Affairs is a very important department of the National University. This department is entrusted with the duties of providing legal advisory services to various departments of the National University. Office of the Law Affairs has many functions like arrangement of conducting cases on behalf of the National University in all courts and tribunals. In this case, office of the Law Affairs is to prepare Vakalatnama and Letter of Authority, Para wise description of legal issues, to contact Legal advisors and panel Lawyers, provide them related documents etc. Moreover, this department is to maintain other functions such as-vetting reciprocal agreements with other organizations, handling legal matters related to non-government colleges, taking hearing of the aggrieved teachers of the non-government affiliated colleges, supporting legal matters related to services of employees of the National University, conducting inquiries into misconducts of the employees of National University etc. It examines the departmental proceedings against the accused’s who are the employees of the University. In fact this department is responsible for coping the National University’s operation mobilized with all the relevant laws and regulations. Above all office of the Law Affairs handling all the legal matters relating to the National University.
